Oh, hi there!

Hi, my name is Jason Lewis. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I have been a lover of vibrant colors, sweet summer stone fruits, and spending time with Cuban food and a hot café con leche. I made my way to the northeast through college, work, and my love for the arts. I have been crafting and creating projects, small and large, for as long as I can remember. I am a freelance collage artist and a costume designer based out of New York City. Over the past several years, I’ve had the pleasure of working on a variety of shows On and Off Broadway as a designer and assistant designer. I first got into theatre and sewing in middle school and it blossomed into a passion that led me to earn my BFA in Costume Design from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama, the oldest theatre program in the United States. While there, my classes consisted of figurative painting and drawing lessons with various mediums, sewing and pattern making classes, and, most of all, critical thinking and managing. The classes I took at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Art consisted of painting classes with oil and acrylic paints, along with art theory and art history.

Since I arrived in New York in 2016, I have been fortunate to have worked on some thrilling and amazing projects with some of the loveliest people I have ever met. As much as I love theatre and costume design, I am open to other opportunities that offer a creative outlet, as well as a position that would allow me to grow as a professional and as an individual. I possess the artistic and managerial skills to adapt and grow in a full-time creative role while always bringing a smile and an iced coffee with me along the way.
